The day out.

•August 14, 2007 • 1 Comment

Queensway, Bugis and Serangoon road were the destinations.

I had even cancelled tution to be out the whole day. Did much of shopping, crapping and eating.

Had also tried the ice cream waffles from Gelare. =D

I had fun and I’m a happy kid.

An unexpected call.

•August 13, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Yes, it was an unexpected call indeed. Was too suprised for words that the way i reacted was far too weird. It may have created a stir of thoughts among a particular one. Good or bad, I really don’t know. But I sure know what I am doing. The ones close to me would know what this entry is all about without having me to say much at all. I’m loving this for sure. Especially when I had already foresee it to happen.

A lesson to be learnt: Don’t let someone become a priority in your life when you are just an option to them.

Meet my grandmother.

•August 11, 2007 • 2 Comments

I had gone to my aunt’s place at amk for some prayers earlier. I must say that I had so much of fun there with my cousins and little nieces and nephew around. Well, this entry is not for the purpose of letting you guys know on what I was doing there but more cos I needed to blog on the things that I was amazed with.

You know, I have this distant grandma who is like super on with so many stuffs. She caught me sms-ing on my phone and she asked if it was my boyfriend. And I was telling her that its just a friend. So this was the conversation between me and her.

Grandma: Boyfriendukku sms pannuriyah?

Me: Illai. Friend.

Grandma: *Smiling* Ippo friend thaan. But soon to be boyfriend thaaneh.

Me: *Blushing* and *giggling*

Grandma: Antha friendeh enn kitteh kaatittu, naan okay sonna nee boyfriend aakikeh. Okay ya?

Me: *Giggling* Okay

I cannot really explain to you how the scenario went but it was really funny to me. I mean honestly cos I never had any of my grandmas talking to me about my boyfriend or whatsoever before. Then this grandma was also making of my cousin and her fiance in front of the whole crowd and that made everyone else laugh. She played with her great grandchildren, made fun of them so much that I could not help but just join in the fun. It was quite nice to see my two little neices and nephew getting bullied. Even before she left for home, she reminded me on the conversation we had earlier and told me to intro my boyfriend to her soon.

Well, I seriously wish she was my very own grandma. She’s so damn ON and so understanding with the issues on young couples. But well, i guess my turn will come. The time where she will get to meet my fiance and make fun of both of us. =P

And did i mention? I received many compliments on the blue punjabi suit that I wore earlier and on my hair colour! So I guess, I’m happy. Haha.

Happy Birthday Singapore.

•August 9, 2007 • Leave a Comment

And so its Singapore’s 42nd birthday today.

Had a little fun watching the parade and I must say that National Day is the only day I feel sooo Singaporean. Haha.

I’ve got good news. But I won’t release it YET. How about waiting for aother 2 weeks? Hee.

On another note, had to see someone I so didn’t wanna see yesterday at his place while tutoring his sister. I still cannot believe the fact that he reacted as if nothing had happened. And how dare he even asked me WHY i didn’t call him for a week. HELLO DUDE! You know what you did. You didn’t make any efforts to call me up. You didn’t bother at all. You didn’t even give any shit to the friendship we had. Then tell me WHY i should even remember you? And whats with I went around telling the world about stuff that has happened. C’mon its time the world know your worth. And don’t you know when its a news about a hottie like ME and an idiot like you, news just spreads like wild fire. Haa.

Oh yes, did i mention that I coloured my hair again. Yes….AGAIN! Haha, thank god the blonde highlights aren’t as obvious now and I like it this way.

Thats bro and me like days ago when we were too free and snapping away.

Well, more updates to come later in the weeks.

Goodnight world.

A few nice ones do exist.

I was inspired to write this entry after reading a friend’s blog.

Her entry was very much about the sweetest things that guys have done for her. And there she went to think and write about many of the sweetest things her guy friends have done for her this far. Was certainly a very interesting entry and I thought I could do the same here.

During all those times when I think nice guys don’t exist, its these certain guys in my life whom I have met that remind me that there is still hope out there. Maybe thats why I never give up on love as well. So let me take this opportunity to recall all those sweetest things guys have ever done for me. Oh and this is not gonna be in any special order. So yeah.

~ The guy who caught a movie with me that he already watched hours earlier just to see me all happy.

~The guy who let me have a game of pool in my own weird way and eventually kept praising my “SKILLS” just cos he knew I hate losing. Haha.

~The guy who helped me cut my food into smaller pieces cos he knew I always had a prob with the knife and fork.

~The guy who dared me to close my eyes while crossing the road with him as he assured my safety.

~The guy who sent me a huge balloon with a cute teddy bear in it delivered to my house on my birthday.

~The guy who seeked the advice of his guy friends and also brought my best friend along for some shopping to buy me a necklace for Valentines day.

~The guy who bought me porridge and left it outside my house during the time when I was sick.

~The guy who wrote me cards for many of the important occasions in my life and accompanied them with oh-so-sweet poems.

~The guy who gave an excuse that he was going to meet his friend around the place where i tutor and insisted that he sent me to my tution place just so that he could spend time with me.

~The guy who waited for me after several of my dance pracs at nights so that he can send me home and ensured that i got back home safely.

~The guy who surprised me by coming down to my school during one of my night lessons at Uni just to make me smile as he knew I was stressed up with a few of my projects then.

~The guy who had things planned up and appeared right in front of me with a bouquet of roses when i least expected it.

~The guy who went extents to find me safety pins during our outdoor dance shoot when the acessories in my costume started falling out.

~The guy who waited for me at my place patiently till I got home since I was out with my friend and did not want him to come fetch me from wherever I was at.

~The guy who said that he was sick and resting at home but appeared down the block were i tutored just to surprise me and bring me out.

Well, thers many more actually but these are the ones that I can remember the best. Haha. Good to know that I’ve met such nice people in life that it makes it easier to get over the useless ones. =)

Things you ought to know.

Girls vs. Grown Women

Girls leave their schedule wide-open and wait for a guy to call and make plans.
Grown women make their own plans and nicely tell the guy to get in where he fits
———–
Girls want to control the man in their life.
Grown women know that if he’s truly hers, he doesn’t need controlling.
———–
Girls check you for not calling them.
Grown women are too busy to realize you hadn’t.
———-
Girls are afraid to be alone.
Grown women revel in it-using it as a time for personal growth.
———
Girls ignore the good guys.
Grown women ignore the bad guys.
———
Girls make you come home.
Grown women make you want to come home.
———
Girls worry about not being pretty and/or good enough for their man.
Grown women know that they are pretty and/or good enough for any man.
———
Girls try to monopolize all their man’s time.
Grown women realize that a lil’ bit of space makes the ‘together time’ even more special and goes to kick it with her own friends!
———
Girls get hurt by one man and make all men pay for it.
Grown women know that that was just one man.
———
Girls fall in love and chase aimlessly after the object of their affection, ignoring all ’signs’.
Grown women know that sometimes the one you love, don’t always love you back-and move on, without bitterness.
———

Got this from an e-mail a friend forwarded me. Its so true and so just thought I should post it up here. =)

YOU whom I hate.

Its true when i say love never excites me. Cos its more like it only excites my fear. Yeah most of the times.

Have you guys ever came across a situation where you get in touch with your ex suddenly after so many and i mean MANY years. When you never would have seen yourself talking to him/ her ever again after the break up and out of nowhere your in contact after several years and dating all over again unexpectedly.

Well theres a hell lot of difference between talking to your ex as a friend and maintaining the distance and talking to your ex with the intentions of making him/her as your darling again. But some guys….yes just some GUYS do not understand the meaning of dating. Initially alls well and they give you the impression that they cannot do without you but eventually they react with those lines like “I was just talking to you as a friend.” or “Why, friend friend cannot tell I love you ah.” or even a better one “I’m not interested in relationships for now.” Now cut me the crap! What do guys take girls for? Its not this olden century where we do as you say. Its time where we’ve got brains of our own to think whats good for us and whats not.

Now the funny part is when some idiots go through alittle more by spelling out what they wish to have in their girlfriends. When i say spelling out, its not like some paragraphs that they go and all. With just three words, they try to show some mama drama. UNDERSTANDING, LOVING AND CARING. Yes thats all they are looking out for and when someone’s shows them such specific qualities, they are too blind to even notice it. How silly!

Then there this another lot of guys who goes out with several girls, camwhore with them and then justify it shamelessly. And if one stumbles upon the pics and questions them, they get all worked up and relate to the person as being childish. Up to this point, some of you might be laughing already. And the list still goes on.

Cos if you think that its the way love should be…Let me tell you its not for ME! Thought you were the one but you have proven me that I deserve better. Much better than what I thought. And indeed, sucha nice girl like me deserves only the best and nothing else.

So boy, welcome to my world of hatred for I just confirmed your admission into it!

And here comes another Sundayyy.

Missed me? No?

Haha. Its been a while eh. I’m quite sure everyone thinks that I should be quite free since I am not working yet. But that isn’t the truth. I still find myself having to juggle between my tutions, outings, quality time with the family and my beauty sleep. Hee. You know…I was supposed to have started studying for my BTT like weeks ago but just started it like a day ago. Thats how bad it is. I don’t see the necessity or interest in coming online as often as I used to before. When all my darlings are just a phonecall away, msn does not matter to me as much.

Sadly, I have not been contacting Nithi darling at all I realised. The last I spoke to her was after my birthday and I’m just clueless with how she’s doing there. And to rub it in, she just sent me a testi saying she cannot see me online these days. Its true. I’M SORRY NITHI. I don’t see you online as often too and thing is I am usually not online from 12-9pm daily. Thats like the time I have my lunch, take my afternoon nap or yak on the phone with the boy and then rush off for my tutions. Hope to be sms-ing you more often or at least talking to you over the phone sometime soon.

On another note, I just attended a interview this week with an international company and have one more coming up next week. Hope to be settling down with a job soon enough. Please pray for me!!!!

Oh and I also bought a new phone. Sony ericsson K610im. Its a 3g phone or more like an i-mode phone. Wanted the white or silver coloured phone but starhub only had carbon black. So irritating!

Errrr… and someone whom I never thought would msg me ever again has been msg-ing me recently. It started from my birthday and he’s been like sending me goodmorning or goodnight kinda forward msgs daily. I’ve also been entertaining him by sending forward msgs back in return. Good or bad I really don’t know. I just do not want things to get complicated in my life again. Sigh.

And I’m missing the boy truckloads. We did not meet at all for the whole of this week but thank god that I managed to catch a glimpse of him today while tutoring his sister. Have been wanting to catch a movie that just hit the cinemas. No…not the Simpsons movie but its this movie called Knocked up. Dearie, if your reading this….PLEASE ASK ME OUT FOR A MOVIE LIKE SOON CAN!!! =X

So thats the updates so far.

Till another time, Goodnight world!

The wait.

I like the way you wanted me
Every night for so long baby
I like the way you needed me
Every time things got rocky

I was believing in you
Was I mistaken
Do you say, do you say what you mean?
I want our love to last forever

But I’d rather you be mean than love and lie
I’d rather hear the truth and have to say goodbye
I’d rather take a blow at least then I would know
But baby don’t you break my heart slow

-A song by Vonda Shepard-

Happy Birthday to ME.

•July 20, 2007 • 2 Comments

And so 19th July came very quickly afterall. I have officially turned 22. Hee.

Thanks to all my cousins, darlings, friends and everyone else who wished me for my birthday. Really received so many msgs, calls, testimonials and messages this year. Am very touched that you guys remembered my day. =)

The day was good for it was well spent with the boy. I know that he was having a busy week especially with his dance competition coming up and all but he made efforts to take an off for me and take me out for lunch at Jacks place. Had so much of fun talking, singing and drama-ing at the restaurant that we could even forego the movie that we had bought tickets for. Haha.

The pics would speak for itself So yeah… =)
